Neil,
Just a few lines to tell you
how pleased we are of our experience in Scotland.
First, let me say that I
continue to be impressed with the professionalism of you and
all your staff. You guys are a true credit to the travel
industry. I cannot imagine a better group to work with.
Everything you told us was accurate and every suggestion you
made worked out to the betterment of our trip. All 16
members of our group were extremely happy with the way
things turned out.
The extra steps you took for
us, suggesting and getting the bus and driver Allen, making
the arrangements for the manor homes at the Fairmont,
working with the courses to assist our individual needs, all
of which made this a very memorable trip. I must mention
that the ladies are still talking about their guided tour of
Glamis Castle as being the highlight of their trip. You know
of course, when they are happy, the guys are very happy! I
think there is no doubt we will return, and of course, we
will ask for you guys to represent us once again.
It was easy to see that your
staff thought of us at every opportunity. It would have been
easy to just let us wing it each day, but you and John went
the extra mile in every way. This includes getting us
reservations at local restaurants for dinners we scheduled
at the last moment. We also thank you for the gifts provided
to each of us.
The personal touches you and
John did for us by meeting us in Edinburgh upon our arrival
and meeting us every day in St. Andrews made us know that
you were there to make our trip as grand as possible. I
think you guys must also have some good connections with
Mother Nature as even the weather could not have been
better. There is little question that you guys are the
best travel agency I have ever worked with.
Please extend my best wishes
and thanks to all your office staff for the help and
guidance they provided over the last several months leading
up to our trip. Carolyn and Alasdiar were always kind and
very helpful.
Please excuse my tardiness in
getting this letter back to you as I have had some jet lag
and upon my return to the office, I found a desk full of
projects.
I consider you guys to be good
friends and I wish all of you the very, very best.

John,
This is a
very belated thank you to you and Neil for setting up a
wonderful golf vacation in Scotland for Seth and I. The
personal attention you gave us along with all your little
helpful tips made for a wonderful experience. We were very
happy that with your help we decided to go up and play at Cruden
Bay too… that was terrific. You also did a splendid job
with the weather and I’ve told our friends that if they use your
travel company that you can “guarantee” them a similar weather
experience.

Thanks for the photos from my Old Course & St Andrews visit.
John and I look great on the 1st tee
and I really enjoyed John’s company. He is, without doubt, a
uniquely gifted individual whose years of experience of the
subtleties of The Old Course became evident, when he let me into
some of the great stories about The Old Course, St Andrews and
Scotland.

Our trip was not only memorable, but very well planned and

It’s been so hectic since John & I
got back, but I wanted to touch base with you regarding the
trip. You and your peers had set up a fantastic journey for us,
much appreciated.
The experience was phenomenal! But
here we are, with so many wonderful memories, and happy ones to
add to our glorious itinerary. Many thanks to all who helped
make our stay in St Andrews and Dublin a marvelous adventure!

John,
Now that we are safely back in the US I wanted to take this
opportunity to thank you for the great trip agenda you put
together for us during our holiday in Scotland and Ireland.
The hotels you picked were great, starting with Rusacks.
The Bonham in Edinburgh, although nondescript from the
outside, was actually very charming. And kudos to the
restaurant in the hotel. Fabulous meals and great wine
selection.
The hotel at Portmarnock was great and we are all still
talking about the wonderful shower heads they have in their
rooms. We actually stayed in the Malahide, Portmarnock,
and Howth area for the entire time in Dublin and didn't find
a need to venture into downtown Dublin. Restaurants in
the area were great (King Sitric and Seabank Bistro.)
The Castlerosse hotel was charming with a great view of the
lakes. And the people in the hotel were quite nice
(especially Danny the GM). We had 2 great meals in
Killarney at Bricin.
As for the golf...-...Fantastic. The 3 courses you
picked in Scotland couldn't have been any better. We
all thought Carnoustie was the best of the entire lot as it
was hard enough but fair. (We also had a lovely day with the
wind down quite a bit). The Irish courses just plain
kicked our butts. The Island was the best of the lot
on the East Coast of Ireland but very difficult if you
tended to spray the ball. Quite a challenging day for yours
truly.
My favourite Irish course and second only to Carnoustie was
Ballybunnion. What a fantastic last day of golf for
all of us. The great views and verrrrry difficult back
nine. Tralee was also a close second to the Irish
courses.
We took hundreds of pictures to remember the great time we
had. I will definitely pass on your name and company
to other Americans looking for a great golf holiday in
Britain and Ireland.
Thanks again for your assistance and friendship during this
trip of a lifetime. Hopefully we can have a repeat
performance in a year or two.

Dear Neil,
It is difficult to believe that twelve
months have passed since this trip took on a life of it’s
own, but one that has been a pleasure from start to finish.
Twelve golfers, some of whom had never met before
experienced a very well planned and thought out schedule. We
were all in total agreement that the only way to travel is
with a coach and driver. Both were top quality and we will
always remember Donnie and what he offered to our trip.
Starting our golf at the beautiful
North Berwick course was perfect. It gave us an opportunity
to ease into our trip. My wife keeps reminding me about how
lucky I was to have picked your name off the internet, and I
couldn't agree more .The interest and time you committed to
our group Was amazing from the start to finish, and I will
highly recommend you and your company to any who asks. Thank
you Neil for making the ultimate golf trip for twelve
golfers from Nova Scotia a very enjoyable one.

Hi Neil,
Thank You for arranging such a great trip for us! We really
enjoyed the Old Course but the highlight of the vacation was
our trip to watch Man Utd v Newcastle at Old Trafford! We
enjoyed the Corporate Hospitality, had great seats but
getting our photos taken with the Premier League and
Champions League Trophies was simply “Awesome”

just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for all
the attention you showed us on our trip to Scotland. There
is never a dull minute when you travel with the Doig’s! Quite
often when you are looking forward to a trip it never lives
up to your expectations, this trip was not the case!! It
was everything I expected and more. You guys had a lot to do
with that.
